Our 501(c)(3) Status

The North Carolina Folk & Heritage Festivals is recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt, nonprofit organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to the Festival are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Our public charity status helps ensure that the festival remains a free, inclusive, and community-centered celebration of culture and creativity.
