Our 501(c)(3) Status

The North Carolina Folk & Heritage Festivals is recognized by the IRS as a tax-exempt, nonprofit organization under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions to the Festival are tax-deductible to the extent permitted by law. Our public charity status helps ensure that the festival continues to create transformative celebrations, where music, art, and food unite communities, inspire creativity, and drive lasting community and economic growth across North Carolina
