NC Folk Festival Kicks Off Local Folk GSO Summer Tour

(Greensboro, N.C.) April 28, 2025 – The NC Folk Festival is thrilled to launch its Local Folk GSO Summer Tour, a series of live music performances celebrating the vibrant talent rooted right here in Greensboro. Running May 2 through September 13, this community-driven concert series brings the spirit of the NC Folk Festival to life all summer long.

With support from Downtown Greensboro, Inc., this concert series celebrates the musicians who make Greensboro’s sound so distinctive.

“Local Folk GSO brings the spirit of the NC Folk Festival all summer long,” said Jodee Ruppel, Executive Director of the NC Folk Festival. “These concerts are our way of celebrating the incredible talent in our own backyard with artists who are shaping the future of folk right here at home.”

Also included in this year’s lineup is a slate of Emerging Artist concerts at the Flat Iron – pairing rising local artists with established performers – produced in partnership with The Wyndham Championship and MusicGreensboro.
